Grammy-nominated songwriter and Producer Thomm Jutz has teamed up with Lacy Green and Adam Wright to create new album, Shakespeare’s Bones, which arrives November 6th, 2026. The song “Little Dove”, taken from the album, is out now.

What began as a circle of mutual friends getting together to co-write a song or two quickly blossomed into a meeting of minds.

Jutz describes the project as:

That’s it…three friends making music, drinking coffee, sharing laughter and fellowship.

These sessions turned into some of the most unproblematic, creative, productive, and hilariously funny occasions.

At some point in their new friendship, the three songwriters decided to get together for an informal demo session, without placing too much emphasis on it.

Jutz shares:

We decided to record live, including lead vocals. Everybody was cool with flying by the seat of their pants, with no premeditation other than number charts.

Three sessions each resulted in four songs. The resulting twelve-song album is made up of three voices, two guitars, and one upright bass, the exact feeling of being in the room with Green, Wright, and Jutz.

Adam Wright says:

The whole album was written and recorded with that particular relaxed effort that is always present when very good things happen in the right way. Making music you like with people you enjoy is something I would highly recommend.

Green adds:

These songs represent some of my favorite days I’ve ever spent making music. I learn so much from Thomm and Adam every time we get together, and we laugh constantly. My hope is that the listeners can feel some of that joy and friendship in the recordings.

About Lacy Green:

Lacy Green is a Nashville-based singer-songwriter, raised in the foothills of North Carolina. Pulling from an eclectic mix of country, folk, bluegrass, and pop influences, Green has built a reputation as both a versatile songwriter and a compelling artist in her own right. She’s had over 60 of her songs recorded by other artists, as well as for TV and film. She has performed across the country and on some of Music City’s biggest stages. Her latest album, Paper Swan, was released in July. She’s also the author of “The Wire”, a children’s book based on her song of the same name.

About Adam Wright:

Adam Wright writes “songs about people,” as he states in his utterly gut-wrenching and masterfully written song “The Banker” from his second solo album Dust. A true singer/songwriter, Wright colors in the shapes of characters so numerous and diverse you’d need a series of novels to tell their full stories.

With two Grammy nominations under his belt (“So You Don’t Have To Love Me” – Best Country Song/Alan Jackson, “All The Trouble” – Best American Roots Song/Lee Ann Womack), Wright continues to be a songwriter’s songwriter. His songs have been recorded by Nashville giants like Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, and Lee Ann Womack as well as lyric luminaries like Robert Earl Keen, Brandy Clark, and Bruce Robison.

About Thomm Jutz:

A cornerstone of Nashville’s creative community, Jutz has produced albums for Bill Anderson, Mac Wiseman, Todd Snider, and Nanci Griffith, among others. His songs – recorded by artists including John Prine, The SteelDrivers, Del McCoury, and Billy Strings – have topped Bluegrass charts and appeared in more than 250 film and television placements worldwide. He is a four-time nominee and 2021 winner of the International Bluegrass Music Association’s Songwriter of the Year award and was nominated for the Best Bluegrass Album GRAMMY Award in 2020.
