The band Europe have offered another glimpse of their forthcoming studio album, Come This Madness, the new single “Scandinavian Eyes.” Come This Madness is set for release on September 25, 2026, via Silver Lining Music.
“Scandinavian Eyes” is an intentionally expansive track, with the structure and emotion of Rock but the mood of orchestral music. It’s accompanied by a video.
Europe’s founding member and frontman Joey Tempest says:
This driving riff, orchestral magic, vocal and guitar melodies make this one of my favourite Europe songs in a long time! A lyric about crossing the line between good and ‘not so good’…We’re very proud of this track and can’t wait to perform it live!
The accompanying performance video, directed by Patric Ullaeus, shows off the band’s live presence.
Come This Madness was recorded at RMV Studio, the Stockholm-based recording facility founded by Benny Andersson and Ludvig Andersson. The album features special guests Tobias Forge (Ghost) and Mikael Åkerfeldt (Opeth) on backing vocals and was produced by producer Tom Dalgety (Ghost, Rammstein, Pixies, The Cult, Opeth). The band turned to recording legend Mike Fraser (AC/DC, Van Halen, Metallica, The Cult, Loverboy) to mix the record.
The new album finds the band “confronting the realities of the modern world with conviction and creativity.” The band will also embark on an extensive tour to celebrate the 40th anniversary of The Final Countdown, kicking off in Glasgow on September 30, 2026.
