Recently, the album American Cosmic Revival Vol. 2: Miles From Nowhere,was released, paying tribute to the hybrid genre of music that arose around Rock music from the late 60s onwards, using a term coined by Gram Parsons. It follows the 2025 arrival of American Cosmic Revival Vol. 1: Back At Home. Several singles arrived ahead of the new album, including “Wheels”.

American Cosmic Revival is a collaboration between Christian Parker, Patrick Cleary, and Earl Poole Ball, the pianist known for his work with Johnny Cash, Gram Parsons, and The International Submarine Band.

Christian Parker explains:

This new volume continues our exploration of the songs and artists that helped shape the Cosmic American Music movement.

The album features performances by Gary Jacob on pedal steel throughout much of the record, with additional appearances by JayDee Maness on three tracks and Tracer James on two tracks. Strings were arranged and performed by Stevie Blacke, whose credits include work with George Harrison, Tom Petty, Chris Cornell, and many more.

Parker adds:

The album is built around themes of movement, longing, loss, redemption, and the open road. Drawing from the catalogs of Gram Parsons, The Everly Brothers, Merle Haggard, Gene Clark, Bob Dylan, and others, the project pays tribute to the music that helped define country-rock and Cosmic American Music while bringing these songs to a new audience.
