The Australian Jam band Karate Boogaloo have released new single, “Wet Day Timetable.” The title refers to that emotional state “when the rains force introspection to couple with disappointment.” An organ melody in the song “yearns for what could’ve been”, but other elements in the song turn the tables and introduce some sunshine.

This hails from what the “multi-monikered musical ensemble” also known as Kay-Bee Funk Music Group have announced as their next album, Access All Areas. It will be released October 9th, 2026, via Colemine Records.

The idea of “access” was important to the band this time around, wishing to be open to all audiences. In fact, “Only those that could be hummed by any and all were kept” among their songs.

The band are coming up on twenty years as a unit, acknowledging the history of instrumental Funk & Soul music, all while crafting their distinctive sound.

For the new album, every second of music was composed and produced with all hands on deck, mixing was handled by Henry Jenkins, with artwork by Hudson Whitlock and Callum Riley.
