Industrial Rock duo Empires in Orbit is the brain child of multi-instrumentalist Gary Mann and vocalist Fe Malefiz. They have recently shared new single and video “Cat Eyes”, the latest from their forthcoming album, Audiodrome. “Cat Eyes” is a bilingual German-English track blending Rap and Pop and is accompanied by a video.

Mann comments:

I almost scrapped this song before giving it to Miriam to write vocals to. I wanted to challenge myself to writing a horror trap song and thought I did an ok job but it was so simple I didn’t think it would work. Miri said send it anyway and we’ll see what happens. Turns out, it’s our banger. Funny how that works. 

Fe Malefiz adds:

I wanted a song with a comic energy and had the character of Harley Quinn in mind. Psycho, mental ill but super sexy and cute – Maybe it’s more about myself than I should admit haha 🙂 

Empires in Orbit launched in 2015 by multi-instrumentalist Gary Mann and made their mark on Electronic music. Releasing records, taking part in dozens of collaborations, having placements in film and soundtracks for ballets all followed.

2026 ushers in a new era for the band, as they added vocalist Fe Malefiz as a permanent resident. The German vocalist has been in the industry over 15 years and her voice has been heard on countless collaborations and voice-over work.

Their first collaboration, Audiodrome, combines Indie Pop, Black Metal, Hip Hop, Ambient and Industrial music.
