Tor-Helge Skei is a founding member of the bands Manes and Lethe, and the Norwegian multi-instrumentalist and Producer has continued to push the boundaries of Metal and Electronic music. Now, with his latest experiment, Holissstik, he takes on many genres and brings in many collaborators.
Now, Holissstik are releasing the second advanced single from their album, Chapter 1: This Endless Solitude. The song is “scarred by past misgivings” but bares “its tortured soul.” It also shows off the collectivity of the project.
Skei says:
Collaboration is the heart and soul of Holissstik. ‘Would You Take This Heart’ was originally a simple, slow, ambient instrumental. But, as is often the case, the song evolved, unplanned and uncontrolled. As more and more collaborators added their parts, it became heavier and heavier, darker and darker.
