This August, Robert Earl Keen will team up for a second time this year with Lost Highway Records for the 15th anniversary reissue of Ready for Confetti. A pioneer of Americana, Keen, who hails from Texas, has spent the past 40 years in music.
Keen closes the album with his take on the classic song, “Where The Soul of Man Never Dies”, which has been covered by everyone from Johnny Cash to Ricky Skaggs and Tony Rice to Hank Williams, and Willie Nelson. The other cover on this record, “Play A Train Song,” is a nod to Keen’s close friend and collaborator, the late Todd Snider, and a song that he still plays.
Out August 21st, 2026, the 15th anniversary reissue of Ready For Confetti, which will feature a special-edition confetti vinyl, follows the 25th anniversary reissue of Gravitational Forces, which is due out on July 10th, 2026, also on Lost Highway Records. Keen originally released 3 albums (Gravitational Forces, The Rose Hotel, and Ready for Confetti) on the newly revived Nashville-based label, Lost Highway, between the early 2000s and 2010s.
Keen has also recently added new tour dates for this summer, including Homecoming Weekend from Sept. 5-7th at Floore’s Country Store.
