Emmett Jerome’s Stormy Relationship Song “Natural Disaster” Was Written And Recorded In One Day

Vancouver based singer-songwriter Emmett Jerome has released his new single, Natural Disaster,” where “the aftermath of a relationship on the edge” becomes a “blend of heartbreak, tension, and reckless attraction.”

Arriving ahead of a busy summer festival season, the track combines Jerome’s love of Country, Rock, and Americana.

Written and recorded in a single day, “Natural Disaster” explores “the push and pull between love, frustration, and attraction” as well as “the complicated emotions that linger long after the fight is over.”

Jerome says:

Natural Disaster is about the stillness after the storm – in this case, the storm being one of those ‘do-we-make-it-outta-here’ arguments with someone you love. The song is really important to me coming out of a really turbulent couple of years relationship-wise. The whole song came together in the blink of an eye – it was written and recorded in the same day, and I swear we did one vocal take. It was so immediate, everything just felt right.

Beginning as a busker on the streets of Vancouver before stepping into the touring circuit, Jerome has steadily built up his trajectory as a live performer and songwriter.

The release arrives ahead of Jerome’s performances scheduled at NXNE, Khatsalano Festival, Bella Coola Music Festival, Kispiox Valley Music Festival, Wayne Stock, and more.
