Brooklyn-based trio Gooseberry live at the intersection of Alternative Rock, Indie, and Blues. Following winter and spring tours, the band is launching a new chapter with their sophomore LP, Simple Sucker, arriving September 25, 2026.
The band has shared the track “Go Fish,” with a Punk Rock edge.
Asa Daniels explains:
Go Fish is about realizing a few more years have got behind you than you remembered—i.e. turning 30 and finding out the hard way that your mind and your body operate differently than they did in the carefree days of your twenties.
There’s still a burning fire, but the blaze has changed in color. Thinking too hard about the passage of time inevitably leads to thoughts of nostalgia and yearning for simpler times, like the perfect youth that your memory sanitizes as it drifts further from your present.

Comprising of Asa Daniels (guitar, vocals), Evin Rossington (drums), and Will Hammond (bass), Gooseberry have headlined iconic venues like Bowery Ballroom, and supporting touring acts such as Ringo Starr, BabyJake, and Tanner Usrey.
For Simple Sucker, Gooseberry “explores what it means to be the perfect fool in today’s world.” It also “explores what we perceive as foolish in others — bigotry, fear, arrogance, and obliviousness.”
As Daniels explains:
…there are songs where we’re poking fun at people for being fools; fools in love; fools who think they can impart wisdom for change; fools ourselves, longing to return to days gone by.
