The California Honeydrops have released new single “365 Flavors” expressing “sunny positivity” around the joys of a “loving, monogamous relationship.”

Bandleader Lech Wierzynski says:

Variety is the spice of life. Sweetness is the currency of love and multiple personalities is better than one. Who needs polyamory anyway?

Hailing from Oakland, CA, the Retro-Soul band have become a mainstay at festivals including Byron Bay Bluesfest (Australia), Outside Lands, Monterey Jazz, Lightning In A Bottle, and have spent time touring with B.B. King, Dr. John, Bonnie Raitt, Buddy Guy, and Allen Toussaint.

Led by frontman Lech Wierzynski and percussionist Benjamin Malament, the band also includes Yanos “Johnny Bones” Lustig on saxophone, Lorenzo Loera on keyboards/guitar, Beaumont Beaullieu on drums, Miles Blackwell on bass.

They are regularly accompanied by a rotating cast of horns including Leon Cotter on saxophone/clarinet, Miles Lyons on trombone/sousaphone, and Oliver Tuttle on trombone. They play a large repertoire of original songs and classics every night, but they have an “unwavering commitment to the art of improvisation.” In fact, they never use set lists and no two shows are ever the same.
