LA-based Latin Indie band Inner Wave has shared a new track from the See You When I Get Back sessions, titled “pretty.” The track is described as “a bit mystical & experimental.”

The song “reflects on the need to feel like you need to ‘move on’ even if something is perfect – we’re always striving for the next best thing.”

To celebrate the release of “pretty,” the band has also announced a film screening of See You When I Get Back and a Q&A at Brain Dead Studios in Los Angeles on June 5th. Tickets can be found here.   

See You When I Get Back is the latest 13-track album from Inner Wave, and reflects on “maturing with age, navigating loss, and getting sober” while incorporating experiences from three years of post-COVID touring for their 2021 record Apoptosis.

See You When I Get Back comes with an accompanying film and a lyric book featuring photos documenting the band’s rise and behind-the-scenes shots of the film. The resulting film arose from a script penned by Pablo Sotelo. After the band enlisted several friends, “the end result is a visual document that draws directly from Inner Wave’s own experiences, both poignant and satirical.”
