French Garage-Psych Rock band Prisoner have released new single “La femme qui s’était faite toute seule,” out now Wicked Cool Records. They’ve also announced their self-titled album, out August 7th, 2026, on Wicked Cool Records.
The track reflects the band’s ethos, where they combine the drama of classic film scores with Garage Rock and Post-Punk. The song expresses the idea that “no one is truly self-made” and unfolds like a soundtrack.
The band’s sound draws heavily from the golden era of 1960s and ’70s television and film scoring. With a lineup featuring vocals, guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, and a brass section, Prisoner shares features with an ensemble but channels the energy of a rock band.

Fronted by vocalist Susanne Pemmerl and led by guitarist Philippe Simon-Girard, the group has built a reputation for high-energy performances and detailed musicianship, also appearing at festivals across Europe.
