Swedish Indie Folk duo Orange Oak have announced that their debut EP, almost, I though to myself, will be released on September 11, 2026. They have shared this news with their latest single, “well, well, well,” which is a “sparse meditation on hidden pain.”
The pair shares:
‘well, well, well’ was born out of a place we wouldn’t wish upon anyone. It’s a reflection on all the pain and anger we stow away. It’s about the instinct to quantify feelings; to explain why you’ve felt a certain way without letting people see quite the whole picture. Who’s to say they would understand it, anyway?
Orange Oak, made up of Filippa Frisell and Erik Olsson, blend of delicate harmonies, acoustic instrumentation, and emotional storytelling. Over the past year, the duo have supported Hazlett, Amistat, and Salt Tree, as well as playing their first hometown headline show at Bio Skandia in Stockholm in 2025. In 2026, they’ve continued to expand their reach with European support tours alongside Luca Fogale and Hayden Calnin.

Influenced by artists such as Phoebe Bridgers, Lizzy McAlpine, Gregory Alan Isakov, and Hazlett, Orange Oak first connected with fans on TikTok through English reinterpretations of Swedish songs. Their shared love for “organic and simple songs” eventually brought them to Nashville, where Orange Oak truly took shape.
