Parker Barrow’s “Blinded” Touches Base With A Bigger Purpose In Life

Nashville-based Southern Rock band Parker Barrow have released new single Blinded,” a stripped-back track that sets the tone for their upcoming album, Hold the Mash, due out July 17th, 2026.Lyrically, the song reflects a quiet but pointed perspective.

Drummer and band co-founder Dylan Turner says:

It’s so easy for us as musicians to be enthralled by the world we live in, seeking validation from likes and comments that feed the flesh rather than the spirit. I wrote this as a reminder to myself to first seek the kingdom and to not forget the bigger purpose.

Guitarist and musical director Alex Bender says of the sound:

[That] was one of the first tracks written and recorded for the new record. It helped to give a bit of direction to where we hoped to go with the tracks that were to follow. The main riff sounds very Stonesy, and I tried to approach the rhythm guitar parts how I would imagine Keith Richards would play them if he was in the band. ‘Blinded’ is a good example of the less is more approach where the beauty lies in its simplicity.

“Blinded” arrives as the first new music from Parker Barrow in 2026 and serves as an entry point into Hold the Mash, a record that builds on the foundation of their 2023 debut album Jukebox Gypsies.

Following the release of “Blinded,” Parker Barrow will spend the coming months on the road across the U.S. before heading to the UK in July for a run of headline dates and festival appearances, including Steelhouse Festival.

The tour continues throughout the summer and into the Fall, with stops in Chicago, Nashville, New York, and beyond as the band brings Hold the Mash to audiences on both sides of the Atlantic.
