Singer/songwriter Clover Stieve (formerly Clover), has revealed the second single, How Big Can I Dream,” from her upcoming album, Born to Live. Originally written for WXPN’s 24-Hour Songwriting contest, the song features acoustic guitar and harmonies.

Co-produced by Clover Stieve and Dani Sundream, the track includes Sundream’s guitars and Pedro Fonte’s percussion.

Stieve says:

“I wrote “How Big Can I Dream” in the backseat of our Subaru in Ridgewood, Queens for WXPN’s 24-hour songwriting challenge. The prompt was ‘belong,’ and it cracked something open in me.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve wrestled with my desire to be a widely known artist – to fill big rooms, to tour the world, to make music that resonates with the masses and helps people feel less alone. I’ve carried this story that wanting that kind of visibility must be ego-driven, that it comes from a need to be seen… which feels icky.

But there’s another narrative that keeps rising up: what if this desire isn’t ego at all? What if it’s purpose? What if the dream planted in me is there because it’s meant to be grown?

Writing this song was my way of reclaiming that desire. Of saying: I belong on big stages. I belong in bright lights. I belong in the act of making and sharing music at the highest level I can imagine”.

She adds:

How Big Can I Dream’ is for anyone who has been told they’re unrealistic, too ambitious, too much. Maybe your dream isn’t random. Maybe it’s a compass.
