Since emerging from Lithuania in 2016, Erdve have experimented with Heavy Music. They have now announced plans for their third album, Epigrama. Following a “period of reflection and re-calibration”, the band are using a “refined approach to composition and philosophical backbone.”
The new album “examines grief, guilt and stagnation not as fleeting emotions but structural forces.” They posit that “as memories and regret amass, personal foundations erode.”
In 2017, the Erdve signed a record contract with Season of Mist, who released their album Vaitojimas (translated as: Moaning) and their second album, Savigaila (translated as: Self-loathing), in 2021.

The band is also known to dive into unexpected ventures by choosing to perform in places that are not considered to be regular venues. Their first such show took place in the church of St. John’s 2019 and another one in Lukiškės Ex-Prison, both in Vilnius, Lithuania.
Epigrama takes a different approach than their previous albums towards experimenting within the confines of Heavy Music and storytelling. The goal was “to craft a meticulous consistency between the music, lyrics and sound production, where every aspect of the song works together to create meaningful impact.”
