Nashville-based singer/songwriter Alex Hall has announced his new EP, Turn This Love Around, due out May 1, 2026. Featuring collaborations with Vince Gill, Tenille Townes and Mae Estes, the five-song collection finds Hall “exploring the hard work that comes with personal growth” wherein he also shows that “love songs can embrace the turmoil of everyday life.”
Along with the news, Hall shares “We Should Probably Stop Here,” a duet with Mae Estes about “two lovers surrendering to the messy gray area of a relationship.” The pair will perform the song together live for the first time at The Grand Ole Opry on Tuesday, March 24. Tickets and more information can be found here.
A few days later on March 27, Hall and Estes will be joined by Jerry Flowers and Joe Clemmons to perform in a round at Nashville’s Tin Pan South Songwriters Festival.
Hall says about the new single:
‘We Should Probably Stop Here’ is about two people who can’t help loving each other, even though every time they go back, it ends the same way. I’ve always loved country music that tells that kind of story – honest, emotional and a little haunting. I wrote it as a duet and knew from the start that my friend Mae Estes was the perfect voice for it. I’ve been a fan since the first time I heard her sing. She reminds me of so many of the great ’90s artists we both grew up on, and I’m incredibly grateful to have her on this song.
Estes adds:
Alex is such a master class musician. He and I became quick friends, bonding over our love of Vince Gill and Lee Ann Womack. It was a no-brainer when he sent me this killer song. So excited about this tune!

Co-produced by Hall alongside frequent collaborators Pete Good (Midland, Carly Pearce) and Andy Skib (Mickey Guyton), Turn This Love Around came during a period of intense change for Hall. Recorded as his label, Monument Records, was shuttered, Hall enlisted his trusted bandmates to make the EP with him. Themes on the album include “his sobriety and his role as a family man” and a “more realistic depiction of love — one that includes not only joy, but life’s challenges and missteps, too.”
Hall has played major festivals including CMA Fest and AmericanaFest, while sharing the stage with acts like Little Big Town and Tanya Tucker.
