Blues Rock artist Troy Mercy has released a second single, “A Place Of Our Own”, bringing in Soul elements honed during his years spent touring with Booker T Jones. It’s accompanied by a video.

It’s taken from the artist’s forthcoming debut studio album, Let the Night Begin, due May 29th, 2026, via Gitcha Records.

Troy Mercy shares:

It’s those tales of ordinary madness that sneak up on us. You know, that daily pressure builds slowly. As your doctor, I’m prescribing listening to ‘A Place Of Our Own’ as needed and singing along to the Na-Na bits quite loudly indeed. See Cheryl in Billing on your way out.

Drummer/Producer Tim Carman (Parlor Greens, Canyon Lights, formerly of GA-20) and bassman Marty Ballou (Peter Wolf) feature on the track.

Troy Mercy spent years of touring with Booker T (of The MGs), The Fabulous Thunderbirds, and Blues originators like Muddy Waters’ bandmembers, Hubert Sumlin, Billy Boy Arnold & Pinetop Perkins. He has also been the guitarist on two Grammy nominated albums (Kim Wilson).
