Pope Returns With Album ‘BFM’ Building On Years Of Trust Together

New Orleans Indie Rock band Pope began in Houston, where three friends met and grew up making music. They later made New Orleans home and kept growing as artists and building a community. Eventually, Pope stepped away from the stage, but not from the band. They kept writing and recording on their own time.

Their album BFM (Big F*cking Music) has been announced for April 30, 2026, arriving via Rite Field Records, their first in eight years. It is “built on years of trust – a continuation of what started in Houston and strengthened in New Orleans.” Returning to a Houston-based label is part of their full-circle development.
