Nashville-based singer-songwriter Alex Hall has released new single “Let Me Go,” co-written by Hall alongside Joe Clemmons (Hardy, Ryan Hurd) and Pete Good (Midland, Carly Pearce). The song is about “the risk of falling in love” and was inspired by Hall’s relationship with his wife.
Hall says about the new single:
“Let Me Go” started with the guitar riff that immediately inspired the melody, and the song was written pretty quickly from there. It’s about that vulnerable stage of love when you’re falling hard and hoping the other person is right there with you, knowing the risk of heartbreak if they’re not. I still remember feeling that way when my wife Bri and I were dating, and I channeled that emotion into this song.

“Let Me Go” follows his recent holiday EP, A Very Merry Christmas From Alex Hall. Last fall, Hall shared his honky tonk-ready renditions of Bruce Springteen’s “Dancing In the Dark” and Lee Ann Womack’s “Solitary Thinkin’.”
No stranger to life on the road, Hall has played major festivals including CMA Fest and AmericanaFest, while sharing the stage with acts like Little Big Town and Tanya Tucker.
