Singer, songwriter, and performer Leanne Binder has released her new album, I Got Something to Say, a collection that “marks both a return to roots and a declaration of self.”
The seven-track record, produced by Grammy winner Lee J. Turner (Darius Rucker, Blake Shelton, Hank Williams Jr.), captures Binder’s “lived experience, and hard-earned perspective”. It blends Blues, Soul, and Rock elements.
Leanne Binder has faced challenges with her voice that nearly ended her singing. Classically trained as a vocalist from a young age, nearly destroying her vocal chords as a teen made her leave an opera path. She rebuilt through learning Soul, Blues, and Rock, writing her own material.
Over the years, Binder’s journey has taken her all over the world. She’s performed at The Cavern Club in Liverpool, headlined the Great British Rhythm & Blues Festival, and become a fixture at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, where she’s shared stages with artists like Joe Bonamassa, Tommy Castro, Shemekia Copeland, and The Texas Headhunters.
To support her new album, Binder is taking these songs back to the communities that shaped her, with a run of shows across Northeast Ohio and the greater region.
The schedule includes headline dates in Youngstown, Warren, Kinsman, Berlin Center, Canfield, Lake Milton, and special events including holiday shows.
