Working with gritty Country and vintage Rock sounds, Antonio Larosa has kicked off the holiday season with Christmas, Bring My Baby Back,” an original song aimed at the “nostalgic magic of the holidays.” It reflects on “quiet heartache.”

“Christmas, Bring My Baby Back” harks back to bluesy Christmas records from the 1950s and 60s, but is also grounded in the present.

Larosa says:

I wanted this song to capture the nostalgia of those old records I grew up loving. Something you could put on next to Elvis Presley or Chuck Berry and still feel fresh today.

We tracked everything live in the studio with real instruments. It gave the song that warm, organic energy you only get when everyone’s playing together in the same room. I really wanted to bring back that honesty and performance you hear on those classic records while blending it with a modern feel.

This year, Larosa has released a duet, “Hearts Don’t Break”, with Taylor-Rae and the honky-tonk tune “Turn Me Loose.” Both build on the sounds that earned him two Roots Artist of the Year wins from the BC Country Music Association.
