Abysmal Dawn Returns With “Cradle Of Affliction” Ahead Of An Autumn Tour

LA-based Death Metal band Abysmal Dawn are hitting the road once again with Krisiun for a tour exactly 20 years since their first tour. To this tour, they’ll bring their first new song since 2022, “Cradle of Affliction”, which is out now alongside a video.

The new song is one whose various mutations have been around since Phylogenesis, but it feels timely now.

Vocalist, guitarist, and founding member Charles Elliott comments:

‘Cradle of Affliction’ nods to the sound of our first record and our earlier melodic death metal influences like At The Gates”. This one is for Tomas (R.I.P.) and all the fans who have continued to support Abysmal Dawn throughout our journey for more than two decades now.

The music is written played, recorded and mixed  by humans. The artwork was created by a human. The music video was shot and edited by a human. We hope you come out to a show and support four of your favorite semi-humans playing death metal while you still can. Cheers!

The video for “Cradle of Affliction” was directed by Robert Graves (Defiant Digital Productions).

Abysmal Dawn’s latest album is Phylogenesis and their most-recent EP is Nightmare Frontier, out via Season of Mist.
