Brooklyn-based Alex Skolnick Trio (AST) has released the title track from their forthcoming sixth LP, Prove You’re Not a Robot, out November 7, 2025 via Flatiron Recordings. They are known for blurring the lines between Jazz improvisation, Rock intensity, and composition. The new album spans originals and the reimagination of classics.
Their latest single encapsulates the themes of the album: “human connection in an age of technological dominance, the irreplaceability of spontaneous creation, and the absurd humor of everyday digital life.” The song arrives with video directed by Frankie Fulleda, featuring a cameo by Lamb of God’s D. Randall Blythe.
Bandleader Alex Skolnick says:
Prove You’re Not a Robot represents our strongest work as a group. The compositions are some of the most challenging we’ve ever done, and the improvisations took us to new places. Nathan [Peck, bass] and Matt [Zebroski, drums] really brought their A-game. We’re all incredibly proud of this one.
