Folk stalwarts C. Daniel Boling and Tom Paxton have released a new video for the song “We’re Not Happy” from their recently released album, It Matters.

The 16 songs on It Matters featuring Tom Paxton are gleaned from three times that number they’ve written together since their 2023 album.

C. Daniel Boling says of the new video :

Here’s “We’re Not Happy” from my new album “IT MATTERS featuring Tom Paxton”! Tom and I co-wrote all the songs on the album and recorded them together in The Kitchen Sink studio in Santa Fe, New Mexico with our wonderful engineer and co-producer Jono Manson. And this song also appears on the brand new live album from my trio The Limeliters, along with four other Paxton/Boling co-writes including the title track “Until We Can’t Sing Anymore”.

Daniel and Tom recorded at The Kitchen Sink studio in Santa Fe, NM with expert producer/engineer Jono Manson. Jono and a dozen friends and fellow musicians pitched in on other instruments and a few harmonies, but the overall feel is stripped-down, Acoustic Folk.

Tom Paxton officially retired from touring at the end of 2024 after 64 years, but swears he’ll keep writing songs, and writing with Daniel, as long as he lives.
