Maryland Rock band Have Mercy have released a new single and music video for the track “tv glows.” This is the second single off their sixth studio record, the loneliest place i’ve ever been. It is set for release on August 29th, 2025 via Rude Records.
“tv glows” is a reflection on “love lost and growing up.” Lyrically, the track delves into “growing apart from someone who once felt like home.” The accompanying music video follows the band as they “drive down a quiet back road, lost in thought and memory.”

Lead singer Brian Swindle says:
This is a song about understanding the dynamics of a relationship and how things change over time. The lyrics explore the possibility of a good thing ending and how that would feel. That overwhelming dread of ‘did our little fight just ruin everything? Musically, it’s very Gin Blossoms-esque with a more modern feel. I was probably listening to a little too much 90s music at the time ha.
The new record leans into Alt-Rock but has a timeless feel and is “a collection of songs to play when the night feels too quiet.”
