On August 22nd, Pittsburgh Deathcore band Signs of the Swarm will release their sixth full-length album, To Rid Myself of Truth, via Century Media Records. Now, they’ve given fans a final preview of the record before its release with a new video for the title track.

Drummer Bobby Crow says:

I started writing this song after Dave and I had a chat about getting back to the roots that made us want to make stupid-heavy music. I wanted some straight up knuckling-dragging, slack jaw shit. It felt like a great way to open the album and make a statement that we aren’t here to fuck around.

Vocalist Dave Simonich adds:

I personally think this is the heaviest breakdown on the record—maybe tied with closing track ‘Creator.’ My favorite line from ‘To Rid Myself Of Truth’ was inspired by the recent Nosferatu movie: ‘The shrieks of two, the screams of one, the cries of none.’

Reunited with Producer Josh Schroeder (Lorna Shore, Mental Cruelty, Varials, King 810), Signs Of The Swarm spent seven weeks making the new album ahead of studio time, and made the addition of guitarist/backing vocalist Carl Schulz to record. The now-quartet was rounded out by bassist Michael Cassese.
