Melbourne producer, DJ, and instrumentalist Harvey Sutherland has announced a new album, Debt, coming out on October 10th, 2025 on his own Clarity Recordings imprint.

He has also released a a new track, “Body Language” ft. Julian Hamilton (The Presets). “Body Language” is a collaboration with Australia’s Julian Hamilton who contributes a vocal performance.

According to Sutherland, the track was one of the first created for the album:

I had these chords floating around for a year or so. Played them for Jules during a writing day at his place in Sydney. He found a great melody almost instantly. I kept hearing the words ‘reading your body language’ in his early phrases so we kept pushing at it. I think it’s the singular moment of IRL collaboration on this album — nice to do things old-school with one of the great Australian songwriters.

Hamilton says about Sutherland and the collab:

I have always been a huge fan of Mike’s music. We spent a couple of days in my studio in Sydney and bashed out a few tracks together…It was super easy and fun – and I can hear that joy in the finished song ‘Body Language’. I am so proud of this track and can’t wait for folks to hear it. Big love Mike!

The album Debt is “about the cost of doing business in the meme economy.” In his first LP since the 2022 debut, Boy, the Australian artist leans into Funk. The album’s title “nods to the financial contortions necessary to strive/survive/thrive as an independent artist.”

Fans can catch Harvey Sutherland at a number of EU DJ dates later this summer. For American fans, he’ll play a select number of shows this October around the release of the album presenting a new live A/V show for the first time in the USA.
