NYC-based Noise Rock/Shoegaze quartet Laveda have signed to Hoboken, NJ-based label Bar/None Records (Yo La Tengo, They Might Be Giants) for their third album, Love, Darla, which will be released on September 12, 2025.
Ali Genevich of Laveda comments:
We’re excited to be working with a label that has a really incredible history of releases. It’s an honor to be a part of it!
In celebration of the signing, Laveda recently released new single, “Heaven,” which was inspired by NYC’s underground party culture.
The accompanying video captures that environment, “a one shot take of a revolving camera, filming the band performing amidst partygoers in a cramped Brooklyn apartment.”

Ali Genevich says of the video:
Shooting the video for this was probably one of my favorite parts of creating Love, Darla because we just threw a party and filmed it.
Regarding Laveda’s upcoming album, she says:
It’s pretty different from our previous releases. Our sound has grown slightly angular and much more experimental. I think everyone individually has grown a lot as artists. For me, moving to NYC naturally opened my mind to cultivate something new.
