Indie Alternative artist isitjosh has released his debut album, A Collection of Short Stories About the Heart. Along with the news, he released a visualizer for his track “Typical” featuring Kellin Quinn.
isitjosh comments on the new song:
I wrote ‘typical’ the day after coming out of an overnight hospital stay, and my lyrics reflect that. Things felt hopeless, like a ‘fix’ didn’t exist for someone like me. Kellin’s verse was so crucial: He brought in a hopeful, positive message of self-acceptance through the struggle, and took this story from ‘I’m broken’ to ‘I am ME, and that’s ok’.
The artist will be heading to the East Coast to support Lake Drive’s U.S. tour in New Jersey and New York City. On Friday, June 20th he will be visiting The Sanctuary and later that weekend on Sunday, June 22nd he will be playing in New York City at the Mercury Lounge.
A Collection of Short Stories About the Heart is about “love, heartbreak, and everything in between.” It tells the story of “two lovers struggling to keep their long-distance relationship alive, facing the reality that some things can’t be undone, and some things can’t be solved with just a phone call.”

isitjosh’s new album features Alternative musicians such as Kellin Quinn and it was Produced in collaboration with cmfrt (co-writer, touring guitarist) and sayvenus (co-writer, touring backup vocalist) and boasts 18 genre-defying tracks.
