Omaha, Nebraska-based Post-Rock band Leafblower has released new single “Burn Cruise” about taking a little respite from the world. “Burn Cruise” is the title track from the band’s new album to be released on June 13, 2025 via Max Trax Records.

Sassist Craig Fort explains about the song:

A ‘Burn Cruise’ is like a ‘cousin walk.’ It’s a chance for you to clear your head and get positive, regardless of what you are dealing with because in the end, the work still needs to be done and life goes forward. It’s how you prepare yourself to navigate whatever’s in front of you.

Wielding an important message about mental health, the album examines “the benefits of expelling heavy subject matter and learning to navigate around its pitfalls.”

Guitarist and vocalist Danny Maxwell explains about the album:

Burn Cruise explores themes of inner personal reflection, aligning with the overarching focus of the album. The lyrics delve into navigating the pressures of modern life—a packed schedule, urgent responsibilities, and the need for quick mental resets. The lyrics were written during a time of deep introspection, drawing from my own personal experiences as well as the stories I observed around me. My aim on this record was to shift the focus, moving away from the external and delving into a more inward exploration of my thoughts and emotions. Ultimately, I wanted to change the narrative perspective and truly look within.

The band has previously released a demo, a live set, and a single, but this marks their first full-length album.

Leafblower is Danny Maxwell (guitar/vocals), Clark Jahn (guitar), Tab Tworek (drums), and Craig Fort (Bass/Theremin/Vocals).
