Melbourne/San Francisco Alt-Pop artist and Producer Rohan has released new Pop-Punk leaning track “Fizzy” about a “reckless love as it finally fizzles out.” The break-up song captures “the good, the bad, the calm and the messy of a relationship meeting its dramatic end.” It’s accompanied by a video that speaks to the “combustible” aspects of love and splitting up.
“Fizzy” features drums by Thomas Pridgen (The Mars Volta, Lizzo, Thundercat), which came together during a late-night jam session in Rohan’s Melbourne home studio. The track was partially engineered by Scott McDowell (Ty Segall, The Head And The Heart), mixed by Brian Cruz (Dominic Fike, Dua Lipa, Giveon) and mastered by John Greenham (Billie Eilish, Gracie Abrams, Lady Gaga).
“Fizzy” also brings Rohan back to his roots. Speaking on the track’s influences, he says:
The guitars and bass really draw from my punk-pop influences; Green Day, Skegss, Beach Goons and Beach Bunny. Being away from my band in California, I wanted it to feel like I was back in rehearsal, just jamming and letting it bleed.
