Lot Lizards Survive A World That Never Slows Down For Debut Album ‘The Horrors Of Adulting’

St. Petersburg, FL, Florida-based Punk trio Lot Lizards have released new single “Surprise Party” via Punkerton Records. It’s the second single from their upcoming debut full-length album, The Horrors of Adulting, due out July 25, 2025.

Rooted in the spirit of 90s and 2000s Skate Punk, “Surprise Party” is “a cautionary anthem about the chaos of enabling, and surviving, your closest friends.”

Inspired by “a real-life visit from a disaster-prone friend who showed up unannounced, trashed the house, and wore out his welcome,” the song reflects “both love and frustration in equal measure.”

Jon Barnes says about the song:

This song is about the things we do for good friends, and the frustration you feel while seeing them f*ck up.

Formed in 2021, Lot Lizards are influenced by Face to Face, Propagandhi, Lagwagon, and No Use for a Name. They combine aggressive energy with melodic songwriting.

Their Punkerton Records debut album, The Horrors of Adulting, is a collection of songs about “burnout, friendship, regret, and survival in a world that never slows down.”
