William Beckmann is a singer/songwriter who has been making music from a young age, and has recently announced his major label debut album, Whiskey Lies & Alibis, out June 20th, 2025 via Warner Music Nashville. The Texas native has crafted a 12-song album about “heartbreak, resolve and reckoning.” It captures Country sounds and “the sting of lost love.”
Beckmann explains:
For me, an album is meant to be a photo album. It’s meant to capture a moment in time, and it’s supposed to last forever. That’s what I think we were able to do with this record. I’m confident that if I ever get to be an old man, I’ll look back on this and be like, ‘Yeah, we did it right.’
Co-writing eight of the 12 tracks on the album alongside friends Jessie Jo Dillon, Jesse Frasure and Rhett Akins, Beckmann also worked with Grammy-winner Jon Randall on Production.
Beckmann recently released the track from the album “Game I Like to Play,” a ballad “about diving headfirst into love, even when the odds are stacked against you.” The official music video mirrors the song’s tension and themes of “risk, reward and heartbreak.”
