South London sibling duo Punchbag have released their debut EP I’m Not Your Punchbag via Mute. They have also shared the video for “You Used To Be So Sexy” and announced their debut headline show at London’s Bermondsey Social Club on May 29, 2025.

Clara and Anders Bach, who make music as Punchbag, describe their own music as “Aggressive Hopecore.”As that suggests, debut EP I’m Not Your Punchbag swings between extremes.

Anders says:

We want to be the most pop thing we can in a left-field context, and be the most left-field in a pop context. We’re constantly playing with the idea of how far we can take each direction.

Completing their debut EP today is new single “You Used To Be So Sexy,”  a song that “reframes phone addiction through the lens of a toxic relationship.”
