Watch Late Slip’s Video For A Rockabilly Take On Blondie’s “Heart Of Glass”

Brooklyn-based Retro-Pop outfit Late Slip have released a music video of their Rockabilly reinvention of Blondie’s classic “Heart of Glass.” The track is featured on I Love You, their first mini-album. The album was produced by Lewis Pesacov (Best Coast, FIDLAR, Nikki Lane, Poolside) and has been released on 12” LP vinyl, CD, as a digital download, and via streaming platforms on Party Mermaid Records.

I Love You offers “the invitation to cozy up close, let your feelings flow, and dance it all away.”

Late Slip’s frontwoman and songwriter, Chelsea Nenni, was born on the East Coast but grew up in California. She studied opera in college, but Gwen Stefani gave her the guts to be in a band. Nenni moved to New York City in her mid-20’s to pursue a life onstage. The “pangs of unrequited love and homesickness” turned into the first Late Slip songs.

Nenni moved to L.A. to explore Late Slip’s potential and worked at Amoeba Music, which led to musical connections enabling her first recorded releases. Faithful Amoeba regular Bobb Bruno also led Nenni to Best Coast’s Crazy for You producer, Lewis Pesacov which led to even more exciting developments.
