Roots/Americana label Rounder Records has announced the signing of indie artist Judy Blank, and the release of her new single, “Dinosaurs.” The track will appear on the three-track multi-single Lil’ Mood, which is set for digital release on March 14th, 2025.

Born and raised in Utrecht, The Netherlands, Blank launched her recording career with her debut LP Morning Sun, which was recorded in Nashville and went on to win the 2023 Gold Award in her homeland. Blank has opened for artists like Langhorne Slim, The Wood Brothers and SUSTO and now calls Nashville home since making the move in early 2024.

Her new song “Dinosaurs” is both lighthearted and though-provoking in approach and informed by the current effects of climate change.

She shares:

I was obsessed with disaster movies as a kid. Now I sometimes feel like I’m living in one. When I wrote this song, I thought of it as a postcard from the future. I hope it can be a low-key reminder that it’s time to change the ending.
