Todd Snider’s ‘Rest In Chaos (Purple Version)’ Shares His Jam Band Side

The final installment of Todd Snider’s All My Songs series has arrived with Rest In Chaos (Purple Version),which is a special live album that dives into Snider’s Jam band persona and the evolution of his songwriting.

Originally released in 2016 by Melvin Records, Rest In Chaos marked a pivotal moment for Todd Snider and his collaboration with Hard Working Americans, the All-Star group featuring Widespread Panic bassist Dave Schools, guitarist Neal Casal, keyboardist Chad Staehly, drummer Duane Trucks, and guitarist/lap steel player Jesse Aycock. It was the first Hard Working Americans album to feature Snider’s original songs.

Now, Rest In Chaos (Purple Version) reimagines this album, stripping it back to its acoustic core. Presented by Aimless Records, Snider revisits the twelve Rest In Chaos tracks, including eight that originated from his unreleased 2014 solo album Take the Blind Lemon Pledge and Stick It to the Man.

As the final chapter of the All My Songs live re-recording series, Rest In Chaos (Purple Version) serves as both a tribute to Snider’s creative spirit and a culmination of a year spent celebrating his 30 years in music.
