Brattleboro, Vermont-born Indie Rock band Thus Love have shared the frenetic new video for “Get Stable” directed by Min Soo Park. “Get Stable” appears on All Pleasure, their sophomore full-length out now on Captured Tracks. The song itself is a transformative response to “existential panic” on an album that was all about capturing positive experiences making music.
The creation of All Pleasure came out of a period of growth and transformation for the group. Mixed by Matthew Hall and Rich Costey (on “Birthday Song”, “All Pleasure”, and “Get Stable”) and mastered by Bob Weston, All Pleasure was recorded “as live as possible,” with a bare minimum of overdubs.
Vocalist/guitarist Echo Mars says:
We were all coming together to make this new thing and take a new step. We’ve all been making music for a while, and we’ve all been confronted with aspects of it that are grueling and not pleasurable.
Therefore, they kept one simple rule at the forefront: “If it’s not joyful,” said Mars, “don’t do it.”
