Multi-award-winning Canadian and Indigenous Métis artist Kyle McKearney has released new single and video “Tomorrow.” The track will appear in the upcoming season finale of CBC’s series Heartland, airing on December 1, 2024. McKearney will also be making a guest appearance in the episode with a full band performance of the song.
McKearney co-wrote the track alongside collaborators Noeline Hofmann and James Jannetty, creating an “anthem that invites listeners to reflect on what truly matters.”
McKearney explains:
‘Tomorrow’ is a question. Do we get to be with our loved ones after we leave this world? Does the longing and suffering veto the risk this character is taking with their life on earth? I wrote this bluegrass leaning tune with my friends, Noeline Hofmann and James Jannetty at the kitchen table. We all left the session knowing that we had written something meaningful.
McKearney continues to reveal his third studio album, co-produced with Russel Broom and mixed by Grammy Award winner Vance Powell.

McKearney’s sophomore album, A Traveler’s Lament, took home the 2023 CCMA for Alternative Country Album of the Year, while also receiving 25 additional award nominations, 10 award wins, and was shortlisted for a 2024 Grammy Award nomination in the Best Regional Roots Album category.
