Bristol-based Sludge Metal Experimental band Sugar Horse have shared a live video for “Jefferson Aeroplane Over The Sea”, taken from their latest album, to celebrate and announce four dates of UK headline shows in February 2025.

New album The Grand Scheme Of Things, released via Pelagic Records, was recorded almost entirely live in one of Bristol’s churches, All Hallows Hall. The aged and decrepit atmosphere was appropriate for an album “concerned with the end of life.”

With a busy 2024 in tow, including a tour with labelmates Hippotraktor and a Damnation Festival appearance, the band have announced four special headline UK dates for February 2025 in Nottingham, Leeds, Plymouth & London.

Sugar Horse’s Ashley Tubb says about the new song:

Jefferson…is a song about what my father, and my daughters, have missed out on from my father’s passing. A big melodic number in the vein of The Cure’s more synth heavy moments, or the more solemn songs on Joy Division’s Closer.

Sugar Horse will be touring the UK throughout February 2025:

14 FEB | JT Soar, Nottingham

15 FEB | Wharf Chambers, Leeds

21 FEB | The House, Plymouth

22 FEB | The Grace, London
