Singer/songwriter Aisha Badru has released her latest single “In The Making.” The new track serves as another preview of her sophomore album, The Sun Still Rises, out November 29th, 2024. The Nigerian-American artist focuses on creating a musical “path towards introspection.”

Describing the new single, she explains:

‘In The Making’ is a reflection on personal evolution and the continuous journey of self-discovery. This song embodies the essence of change, the fluidity of identity, and the desire to break free from expectations.

Regarding her new album, she says:

I’ve always sort of felt torn between wanting to be someone who is very much a singer-songwriter and being recognized in the wellness space. Yes, I’m an artist. But I’m very intentional about the music that I release: that it is medicinal, that it can soothe emotions. This album encapsulates the entirety of my growth.

When Badru first started making music roughly a decade ago, she established herself as a voice in the Folk music scene. With each subsequent release ,she has continued to evolve, exploring themes of “love, personal growth, and wellness.”
