Fantastic Negrito’s “I Hope Somebody’s Loving You” Counters A Lonely World

3x Grammy Award-winner Fantastic Negrito has shared a music video for the recently released single, “I Hope Somebody’s Loving You.” A ballad, the song is taken from his new album, Son of a Broken Man (Storefront Records), arriving everywhere on Friday, October 18th, 2024.

He comments:

This video encapsulates the feeling of desolation and loneliness that the song conveys. It can be a lonely world out there.

The single, “I Hope Somebody’s Loving You,” was released last month as a double A-side along with the song, “Crooked Road.”

Fantastic Negrito shares about “I Hope Somebody’s Loving You”:

Try not to cheat on your woman try not to cheat on your man. I’ve been on tour a long time. I’ve spent so many days weeks and months away from home and encountered so many beautiful people on the planet and this just became a common theme in my head and heart –I hope we are all experiencing a version of love.

He adds about “Crooked Road”:

I wrote ‘Crooked Road’ about determination, never giving up, deep breath, reset, refresh. This has been the theme of my life and it continues to be. I thrive off inspiration and this song embodied it for me. We might think that our life has serious challenges, but trust me, someone else out there has even more than you.

Son of a Broken Man stands as perhaps Fantastic Negrito’s most personal thus far, exploring “family, deception, and the human desire to hide the true self.” For the album, he dives into the struggle between father and son.
