Leon Guallart Transforms Himself Into A Monster In His Video For “Int. Night”

Spanish composer, designer, and filmmaker, Leon Guallart, has announced the re-release/re-stock of his experimental Folk album, Comfort, available November 22nd, 2024 exclusively on vinyl. Accompanying this announcement is the single, “Int. Night” (Interior Night) along with a live music video directed by Guallart.

The music video depicts the largest storm in history, “as a metaphor for today’s social, political and environmental climate.” Guallart, incarnated in a “monster-like figure, sings out of despair and sadness towards the state of the world.”

Leon Guallart is a Spanish artist whose first edition of Comfort, released in 2023, sold out three times worldwide.

Guallart presented Comfort as a movement: His concerts were held in iconic architectural landmarks like Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater, Biblioteca Vasconcelos in Mexico City, and Gaudí’s La Pedrera in Barcelona, transforming these spaces to “resonate with themes of healing and connection.”

Guallart shares about the “Int. Night” music video:

The video for “Interior Night” presents a doomsday storm and a human-like monster that sings in despair. The monster is a personification of loneliness and anger of the world, but inside, a fragile and delicate being resides. This is the first part of a three-part story presented over three music-video-like live performances.
