Formed in 2014, Red Deer, Alberta’s Trashed Ambulance has survived member changes and COVID cancellations to continue making an impact as members of the Western Canadian Punk scene. Their journey has been marked by a series of EPs, LPs, CDs, and cassettes. Now they’ve released the single and video for “Split the Difference.” The song was previously only available as part of Thousand Islands Records The Sauce Vol.1 vinyl compilation.
The band says about the song “Split The Difference”:
In this global hellscape we occupy, it’s never been easier to find willing sycophants to pacify your delusions. In your day to day existence, it’s easier to split the difference with opponents and find common ground but what happens when you abandon all of your principles and waste away to nothing due to your compromises?
The trio converged at Echo Base Studio in Calgary to collaborate with Casey Lewis (Belvedere) for their latest album, Future Considerations, released in 2022.
Trashed Ambulance’s live performances have seen them share the stage with Face to Face, Lagwagon, Pup, Mad Caddies, Teenage Bottlerocket, No Trigger, Good Riddance, Ignite, Brutal Youth, and Ten Foot Pole. The band has also left their mark on the renowned Pouzza Fest, Montreal’s annual Punk festival.
After a Costa Rican tour in 2023, the band ventured on a Japan tour in March 2024.
