Singer/songwriter John R. Miller’s album Heat Comes Down turned one year old on October 6th. To commemorate the milestone, Rounder Records will release Wayward Wind exclusively on 7” vinyl.
For fans of his 2023 album, this special Wayward Wind pressing will feature “Outset Of The Breeze” and “Garden Of Fools,” two unreleased tracks from the original album recording sessions.
Miller says:
Our album Heat Comes Down is turning one-year-old this month, and I’d like to extend my sincere gratitude to the folks that have dug it up and have spent time with it. Getting to make this record was very special to me, and I’m super proud of what we captured with Andrija Tokic and John James Tourville at the Bomb Shelter.
However, we didn’t get to put all the songs we liked on the record due to the limitations of the medium… These two songs were kind of the odd ones out of the bunch, but I still wanted them to make it out there somehow. Though we’ve been playing both of them regularly live, I’m glad to say the studio versions are now seeing a proper release in the form of a 7″ single. Enjoy, and thanks for listening.
