Multi-award winning Canadian and Indigenous Americana artist Kyle McKearney has unveiled the latest track from his forthcoming album, titled “Hold On Goodbye.” A plea “to hold onto a fading love amidst the obstacles of life,” for the song, McKearney once again teamed up with co-writers Aaron Pollock and Lydia Sutherland.
McKearney says:
Every relationship has its trials and tribulations. Sometimes the only way to hold on is to keep fighting. ‘Hold On Goodbye’ is just that. The place where you feel like “this is over” but if we can just sleep on it maybe we’ll be able to keep fighting for it tomorrow.
McKearney continues to unveil his third studio album, which was co-produced with Russel Broom and mixed by Grammy Award winner Vance Powell.

The new project follows the success of McKearney’s multi-award winning sophomore album A Traveler’s Lament, which took home the 2023 CCMA for Alternative Country Album of the Year, while also receiving 25 additional award nominations, 10 award wins, and was shortlisted for a 2024 Grammy Award nomination in the Best Regional Roots Album category.
