AUA’s new album Painkiller No. 1 will be released on vinyl, CD and digitally on November 8th, 2024. The release will be accompanied by a limited 3×LP collector’s box set containing all three albums by the band.
AUA’s third record, Painkiller No. 1 caps off the duo’s album trilogy with a blend of Krautrock-driven beats, lo-fi guitars, and gritty electronics. The track and video for “Allies” from the album is out now and the duo have upcoming performance dates with ZAHN.
AUA’s Fabian Bremer comments:
‘𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗜𝗘𝗦’ is one of my favorite tracks on the new record, and I’m impressed by how Henrik pulled off such a stunning video in no time—and on a tight budget of just 15 euros (the cost of three rain capes). The song is a reflection on power and influence, where seeking validation can result in unintended consequences. In the video, you’ll spot our live bassist, Steffen Smirny, but the original bass track was laid down by Sally Brown (Plattenbau, Anika). Working with Sally was a fun experience, and we’re super grateful for her contribution. Also a big thank you to Dennis and the team at Schlachthof Wiesbaden for making it happen!
