Multi-media artist and lead singer of System of a Down, Serj Tankian, has released his EP Foundations via Gibson Records. He’s also released a new video for the song “Cartoon Buyer”, which features Tankian’s bandmate, John Dolmayan on drums.

The EP Foundations mines Tankian’s music and lyrics from previous decades and reframes them. Like all of Tankian’s work, the five songs on Foundations encompass a wide range of sounds and styles.

Tankian also refers to it as a Rock album and describes it as “music of rebellion.”
