Post Hardcore Band Treasure Pains Formed Through Collaborative Writing Sessions In North Carolina

Durham, NC Post Hardcore band Treasure Pains recently signed with LA-based indie Wiretap Records, to release their debut EP Charming, out later this Fall. Now they have released the 2nd single off that new EP, a track called “Blowout” which speaks to unusual internal states.

Jessi Knop says:

‘Blowout’ started with a riff idea I thought would fit well with what Zach and I were writing. The lyrics came to me when I was sick with a high fever. It felt like any noises I’d hear sort of appeared as a flash in my vision, even though it was actually a sound. Made me think of my inner wiring malfunction.

The band features members of fellow North Carolina bands and Wiretap label mates, WolvesxWolvesxWolvesxWolves and Youth League. Treasure Pains was formed through collaborative writing sessions with Jessi and Zach (Youth League). It gradually evolved to include close friends Kellette and Kyle (wolvesx4). The Post-Hardcore band produces a combined “melancholic and aggressive sound.”
